Affordable housing for formerly incarcerated individuals and those who need mental health help is coming to Manhattan’s West Side, state officials announced on Tuesday.
Gov. Kathy Hochul on Sept. 15 announced the groundbreaking of Chelsea Beacon — a more than $167 million project that will transform the long-vacant former Bayview Correctional Facility in West Chelsea into affordable housing and community space.
