Mamdani visits Maspeth Firehouse, pays tribute to station that suffered greatest losses on 9/11

Mayor Zohran Mamdani visited Maspeth Firehouse Tuesday, Sept. 1, to pay tribute to honor a station that suffered the greatest loss of any New York City firehouse during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Maspeth Firehouse – home to Squad 288 and HazMat Company 1 – lost 19 firefighters during the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center, a loss greater than any other station in the city.
