Mamdani announces $100 US Open tickets for New Yorkers amid criticism over resale prices

Mayor Zohran Mamdani and the USTA have announced 1,000 discounted US Open tickets priced at $100 each for New York City residents amid criticisms over resale prices at the tournament.

The tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis to New Yorkers for main-draw matches taking place between Aug. 30 – when the tournament begins – and Sept. 8 – when the first quarter-finals are scheduled to take place.
