CM Wong calls for more resources for NYC Parks Forestry services amid reported uptick in collapsed trees

Council Member Phil Wong is calling on the City Council to provide more staffing and resources for NYC Parks Forestry services amid a reported uptick in complaints over dead trees and dangerous limbs in the 30th Council District.

Wong said tree issues are among the most common complaints that his office receives, pointing to the recent collapse of a massive tree on Palmetto Street in Ridgewood on Aug. 4 that residents had reported on multiple occasions across several years.
