Gillen enters fall with $3.8M war chest as Driscoll builds campaign

Democratic U.S. Rep. Laura Gillen enters the NY-4 campaign in the fall with nearly $3.84 million in cash on hand, giving her a commanding financial advantage over Republican challenger Jeanine Driscoll, who is still building her campaign after entering the race this spring.

Federal Election Commission filings covering activity through June 30 show Gillen’s campaign reported $5.13 million in total receipts and $3.84 million in cash on hand, compared with Driscoll’s $264,824 in total receipts and $226,274 cash on hand.
