Questions about pool sanitation gave way to heated debates over tax transparency, zoning and development Tuesday, Aug. 5, as residents repeatedly challenged Saddle Rock officials during an often-contentious hour-long board of trustees meeting.

Mayor Kambiz Akhavan at times banged his gavel to restore order as residents interrupted village officials, questioned legal advice from village counsel Keith Corbett and sparred with trustees over construction projects, public records and tax assessments.
