New Kings Point administration takes office, proposes resident registration law

The Village of Kings Point’s new administration officially took office Wednesday, July 22, night as newly elected Mayor Shahriar “Ebi” Victory and Trustee Payam Kermanian were sworn in during the board of trustees’ first meeting following the June village election. Deputy Mayor Hooshang Nematzadeh administered the oaths of office.

Victory praised former mayor Kouros Torkan for modernizing village operations, saying the new administration is inheriting “an amazing village” with upgraded technology, equipment and staff.
