Ex-Adams aide sues NYC after Mamdani says city won’t continue to represent him in sexual assault cases

A former top aide for ex-Mayor Eric Adams sued the city over Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s decision to end the city’s taxpayer-funded representation of him in four sexual assault, retaliation and improper conduct cases that both women and men brought against him when he was working for the city.

Timothy Pearson, who resigned from his position as Adams’ senior advisor in late 2024 amid multiple federal investigations, sexual assault suits, and city Department of Investigation probes, accused the Mamdani administration of acting improperly in dropping him as a client and asked the city to pick his defense back up and pay for any private attorney fees he’s incurred.
