Following a series of recent incidents involving Council Member Phil Wong’s district office and staff, including the alleged assaults of a member of his team while performing official duties, vandalism targeting his office, and additional vandalism recently discovered inside the building, Council Speaker Julie Menin vowed increased security measures will be taken to protect the public servants.
Police from the 104th Precinct responded to a 911 call of criminal mischief at 58-38 69th Street in Maspeth just after 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 6, after staff members found shattered windows on the second floor of the district office when they arrived at work.
