Council Member Phil Wong announced on Friday, June 12, that the NYC Parks Department has notified his office of the upper bathroom facility’s completion at Juniper Valley Park, ahead of its original October deadline, as the summer event season gets underway.
The renovation, funded through capital dollars secured by former Council Member Robert Holden, was originally scheduled for completion in October, as confirmed in a press release. After learning of the projected timeline, Wong worked directly with the NYC Parks Department to urge the contractor to expedite the work, citing “the park’s packed summer calendar of events serving thousands of Middle Village and Maspeth residents.”
