Hochul rolls out regulatory reforms across 22 state agencies to limit ‘burdensome’ fees, paperwork

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a series of regulatory reforms across 22 state agencies on Monday, set to save New Yorkers tens of millions of dollars in fees and compliance costs.

Hochul said in a Monday press release that the wave of 50 actions, the first in her “Express NY” (Expediting Processes and Regulations to Enable Streamlined Services) initiative, are “cutting red tape” to make necessities like housing and healthcare more accessible to New Yorkers by limiting “burdensome” fees and paperwork.
