Campaign Insiders: A Q&A with AD-66 Candidate Corinne Arnold

Corinne Arnold

Campaign Insiders is PoliticsNY’s latest Q&A series featuring candidates running for office in the 2026 New York primary election. This edition of Campaign Insiders features Corinne Arnold who is running to represent New York’s 66th Assembly District. The 66th Assembly District is located in Manhattan and includes Greenwich Village, Tribeca, SoHo, NoHo, and parts of Battery Park City and the Meatpacking District.

What are the top three issues for your campaign?
My three top priorities are affordable housing and cost of living, public safety and quality of life, and government accountability. These issues are deeply connected. Residents need safe, livable neighborhoods. Housing policies must reflect the realities of both renters and homeowners.

Why did you decide to run for office?
I’m running because too many New Yorkers feel like their voices are being overlooked in decisions that directly impact their daily lives. As a small business owner and President of a cooperative, I have firsthand experience navigating the challenges residents face—from rising costs to quality of life concerns. I’m running to bring practical, pragmatic, and balanced leadership to Albany and ensure everyday New Yorkers have a real seat at the table.

What do you believe is the top issue facing voters and how do you plan to address it if elected?
The top issue facing voters today is affordability and housing. We need a combination of increasing the housing supply – which can come from getting 50,000 vacant units online – and supporting policies that help residents stay in their homes. Affordability also means addressing the rising costs facing co-ops, condos, and small property owners, who are often left out of the conversation. Solutions must be balanced to keep people in their homes and communities.

How does your background qualify you to hold office?
I hold a deep understanding of housing challenges. As a small business owner and president of a 500-unit cooperative, I am held accountable to hundreds of families for quality of life and financial decisions, including overseeing a seven-year, $22 million capital plan to comply with local laws. My role focuses on implementing practical solutions and balances real, often competitive needs of our diverse community, including homeowners, rent-stabilized tenants, fixed-income seniors, families, and staff.

Why should voters choose you over your opponents?
I bring a practical, on-the-ground perspective shaped by real experience as a board president and small business owner. I have a track record of management and accountability. I’m focused on solutions, not ideology, and am committed to representing the everyday concerns of my community.
