The Village of Lake Success is taking the first formal steps toward potentially becoming home to Nassau County’s first recreational cannabis dispensary by advancing a zoning amendment that would expand where cannabis businesses could locate within the village.
The Village Board of Trustees was scheduled to introduce Local Law No. 8 during its Monday, June 8, meeting, proposing amendments to the village zoning code to allow one cannabis establishment in the Business A District along Northern Boulevard while limiting the Economic Development A District to one establishment. The village currently permits up to two cannabis establishments in the Economic Development A District.
