The city announced Monday that Central Park’s Great Lawn will host a free watch party for 50,000 people during the FIFA World Cup Final on July 19, with tickets available via a lottery that opens Thursday.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani made the announcement on a sunny Monday morning in Central Park, where he had just finished taking penalty kicks on a newly unveiled mini soccer pitch with a group of kids.
