The League of Women Voters of the Hamptons, Shelter Island and North Folk will hold a virtual Congressional candidates primary debate on Monday, June 8 from 7-8 p.m. The livestream will be hosted by Southampton Town’s SEA-TV, and Leagues in the Towns of Brookhaven, Huntington and Smithtown will serve as cosponsors.
Christopher Gallant of Amity Harbor and Lukas Ventouras of Northport — the 1st Congressional District’s Democratic Congressional candidates — will go head to head at the debate. The winner of the Democratic primary will go on to face 1st C.D. Congressman Nick LaLota — a member of the Republican party — in the general election on Tuesday, November 3.
