Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Tuesday tapped two city government alums from two preceding administrations to fill vacancies on the MTA board.
Hizzoner recommended former city Department of Transportation Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan and former Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services Melanie Hartzog to fill vacancies left by appointees of former Mayor Eric Adams, who stepped down from the board over the past year. The two departed members include Mamdani’s Taxi and Limousine Commission Chair Midori Valdivia and Meera Joshi, who served as Adams’ Deputy Mayor for Operations.
