U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, a Jericho native who owns a $15 million Bridgehampton estate, distanced himself from his former Manhattan neighbor Jeffrey Epstein when Lutnick testified before Congress this month.
The U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform questioned Lutnick, the former CEO of prominent Wall Street trading firm Cantor Fitzgerald, under oath on May 6 amid an ongoing investigation into crimes involving Epstein, the late convicted pedophile and accused sex trafficker.
