A rent freeze remains on the cards after the Rent Guidelines Board provisionally voted to approve a range of possible increases for rent-stabilized units in front of a raucous crowd at Long Island City’s LaGuardia Community College on May 7.
However, the preliminary vote also left open the possibility of another rent increase.
