Trump admin sends another $77 million to Gateway tunnel commission as next court date looms

The Trump administration sent the agency leading construction of the Gateway tunnel another tranche of funding this week after previously holding back federal dollars for the project — an action that comes ahead of another court hearing on the future of the project next week.

The U.S. Department of Transporation (USDOT) paid the agency, known as the Gateway Development Commission, $77 million in reinbursements over the past few days to keep the $16 billion project on track, GDC spokesperson Molly Beckhardt confirmed to amNewYork.
