The Rules committee of the Nassau County Legislature voted unanimously on Sept. 6 to approve a pair of contracts that will facilitate the reconstruction of the Nassau County Police Department’s Second Precinct in Woodbury, which was damaged by fire in late November 2022.

“Today’s action marks another significant step forward in fulfilling our commitment to rebuilding the Second Precinct as a state-of-the-art facility that will best position our law enforcement professionals to serve and protect the public,” Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) said. “We will continue to closely monitor the progress of this vital project to ensure it is completed expeditiously and in a manner that fully complies with all requirements for the engagement of MWBE and service-disabled veteran owned businesses.”
