2022 Power Players in Education: Angie Kamath, Dean of NYU School of Professional Studies

Angie Kamath loves coming up with new ideas. Her spark for creativity, innovation, and collaboration has propelled her throughout her career in government and higher education, and is a vital resource in her current position as dean of NYU’s School of Professional Studies. Dean Kamath’s ingenuity and knack for workforce development also recently saw her named by Governor Kathy Hochul and Mayor Eric Adams to the “New” New York City Blue-Ribbon Panel, which is responsible for envisioning the economic recovery of the city. Change doesn’t intimidate Dean Kamath, who is always excited to prepare her students for their dream careers, especially if it means trying out the latest technological advancements (the Metaverse, for example!).
