Our sister site, Kings County Politics, is launching a podcast!
Soon you’ll be able to listen to KCP’s newest weekly podcast, Black & Jewish, featuring native Brooklynites Chaya Gurkov and Ariama C. Long as co-hosts. They will be discussing how growing up down the block can still leave you worlds apart, while taking a deep dive into their borough’s neighborhoods, politics, and cultures.
Long is KCP’s multi-media staff reporter through the Poynter-Koch Fellowship 2020-21, and a graduate of CUNY’s J-School (Newmark Graduate School of Journalism). Gurkov is KCP’s associate editor and staff reporter. She is currently pursuing a degree in Journalism at Brooklyn College and spends her most of her free time listening to podcasts, which comes in handy since she and Long also executive produce and edit the audio in the studio and field.
Together, they’ll be tackling Brooklyn’s upcoming councilmanic and mayoral races and speaking with sought after constituents across the borough.
