[Un] Correct New York Podcast With City Council Member Robert Cornegy Jr.

FullSizeR005

Knowledgable, personable and tall are three words that describe City Councilmember Robert Cornegy Jr. (D-Bedford-Stuyvesant, Northern Crown Heights).

Among the issues that Cornegy has taken charge on include the city’s controversial Third Party Transfer program, keeping the Gisted & Talented program in city schools and reforming the sanitation industry in regards to commercial waste pick-ups.

The seven-foot Cornegy was a star athlete in high school and played on St. John’s Final Four team with the likes of future NBA players Chris Mullen and Bill Wennington, before going on to playing professionally overseas.

Cornegy is a self-described policy wonk and for good reason. He has an excellent grasp on a number of issues and continues as an occasional guest lecturer at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
