Since former City Councilman James E. Davis was assassinated at City Hall in 2003, his brother Geoffrey Davis has carried on his legacy through the James E. David Stop Violence Foundation, which has brown into a national movement.

Yet, Geoffrey Davis remains close to his Crown Heights roots that has come far from when there were shooting every day. KCP Senior Reporter Kelly Mena went to the neighborhood in this week’s Beat of The Week to talk to Geoffrey Davis and others about the foundation and Crown Heights then and now. Check it out:
