Kings County Politics today named Kelly Mena Senior Editor/Reporter. In her new role, Mena will take on more editorial responsibilities and bring a younger, fresher and different perspective and viewpoint to the editorial content.
“I am pleased to make this announcement,” said KCP Founder and Editor-in-Chief Stephen Witt. “Kelly has proven herself to being up to the task of covering the very important world of Brooklyn politics. Since she started with us, she has proven time and again her loyalty and committment to quality journalism as a reporter. We are very lucky to have her.”
Ms Mena was born in Massachusetts and grew up in Florida. She is a graduate in journalism from the University of Florida, Gainesville.
“I am looking forward to shaping and lending my perspective to the growing narrative of Brooklyn politics,” said Ms Mena. “In my short my time with Steve, I have learned and grown as a reporter and am more than prepared to take on this new role. I look forward to being part of KCP’s continued growth, and believe in our mission to make politics and government more accessible to the common person, while continuing our journalistic role of being watchdog over the powers that be. I am honored and look forward to my tenure here.”
