Fort Greene Assembly Member Walter Mosley announced yesterday that NYCHA’s Ingersoll and Farragut Houses will each get $500,000 in state funds for desperately needed lighting, security cameras, and upgraded mailboxes.

In light of recent gun violence in our community these funds will surely help with the overall security and well-being for residents of these developments and the adjacent neighborhoods in the district,” said Mosley.

“I will continue to advocate for increased security funding for all the residents of NYCHA developments in my district, but this is a crucial first step in the right direction and I applaud Assembly Speaker Heastie for his leadership, Governor Cuomo for his steadfast support, and their collective advocacy for residents of New York City public housing,” the lawmaker added.
