cannonThe St. Francis College Pope Center Gym on Remsen Street in Downtown Brooklyn holds barely a thousand fans, but but it will be filled to capacity and rocking tonight as the top-seeded Terriers battles second-seeded Robert Morris for the Northeast Conference Tournament championship with the winner moving onto March Madness – the NCAA Division 1 basketball tournament.

St. Francis, (23-10), got to the championship contest after defeating St. Francis University from Pennsylvania in the conference semifinals, 62-48, behind Jalen Cannon’s 20 points and a smothering defense.

Tonight’s contest promises to be a nail-biter as Terriers split their two conference games with Robert Morris, including the school’s only conference home loss this year.

Should St. Francis come out victorious tonight, it will be the school’s first trip to the NCAA tournament. The KCP team wishes the St. Francis team and Coach Glenn Braica the best of luck in tonight’s game.
