Minus his time as a corps sergeant in the United States Marine, Gonzalo Duran has spent his entire life in the Bronx. As an Iraq Veteran, he has served his country, and as CEO of a nonprofit for over a decade, he has directly impacted his community’s welfare.
Following his military service, he faced struggles upon returning home, but he persevered. He graduated from Fordham University with a degree in health science.
Currently, he serves as the vice chairman of the Bronx County Conservative Party and district leader for the 79th Assembly District. In his spare time, he mentors teens and serves as a chaplain.
