Candidate: US House of Representatives / District 14

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D)

(Incumbent)

Candidate Site

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is serving her fourth term in Congress representing the Bronx and Queens. At 28, Alexandria ran to upend and transform a political system failing working families. Refusing to take contributions from corporations, she ran a people-powered campaign driven by grassroots volunteers and donations – a practice continued today. Alexandria defeated incumbent Crowley to become the youngest woman and Latina in history to serve in Congress, and the first woman of color to represent NY-14. Since, she continues to fight for NY-14 and working people in this country, ensuring government works for them, not just the rich and powerful.

U.S. Reps Nydia Velázquez and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have penned a letter to the FBI and CIA over the murders of two Puerto Rican independence leaders in the 1970s.
