Adem Bunkeddeko brings experience across government, nonprofits, and finance. Born to Ugandan war refugees, he grew up in Queens. With his parents’ support, he earned a degree from Harvard Business School. He began as an organizer with the Working Families Party, then advanced economic opportunity at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration and Brooklyn Community Services. At Empire State Development and LISC, he worked on affordable housing, job training, and small business growth. As executive director of Coro New York, he led a financial turnaround and expanded programming. In finance, his work focused on investments that generate both returns and public benefit.
