Democrats sweep Bronx races, high turnout driven by presidential election

Morgan Evers is a teacher of 20 years and community organizer running in NY’s 81st Assembly District. Her grassroots campaign is focused on fighting for the everyday concerns of working New Yorkers. She was the New York State Committee member for the 81st AD in 2022 to 2024, during which she co-signed Democratic state party resolutions to fight extremism and antisemitism, build more affordable housing, create inclusive public school curriculum and advance initiatives for climate justice and LGBTQ+ rights. Morgan is running a historic campaign; she would become the first blind woman elected to the NY state legislature.
