Alex Bores was born and raised in NY-12, where he was born, raised, and lives with his wife and newborn son. He went to public schools in the district: P.S. 6, Wagner Middle School, and Hunter High School. Alex worked as a computer engineer, making sure taxpayers got their government services. He is the first Democrat elected in New York State at any level with a degree in computer science. TIME magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world on artificial intelligence for passing the strongest AI safety law in the country.
