Jordan Wright represents Harlem in the New York State Assembly, bringing lived experience and deep community roots to Albany. Raised in a working-class family in Harlem by parents who were active in local organizing, he learned early the power of public service and collective action. Since his election in 2024, Wright has secured funding for Harlem arts organizations, expanded resources to combat food insecurity, and organized free health screenings for residents. He has authored legislation to address Legionnaires’ disease and fought for increased funding for early day care, ensuring children and families have the support they need to thrive.
