Garrett Petersen’s career has been about serving others. He has been supporting those with autism and other developmental disabilities to live their best lives for nearly twenty years. As a clinician at a non-profit here on Long Island, he works to develop new techniques and technologies to allow people with intellectual disabilities more independence in their daily lives.

He is a long time resident of the Town of Islip, having grown up in CI and living in East Islip now. His bachelors’ is from Stony Brook, SUNY and his master’s from Dowling. He has been married fifteen years and has one son in East Islip schools.
