Furhan Ahmad is a 23-year FDNY firefighter, former EMT, and former NYPD officer running for State Assembly in District 66. The son of a Pakistani immigrant cab driver, Furhan grew up in New York City and graduated from BMCC and Hunter College through CUNY. For more than two decades he has answered emergency calls across lower Manhattan, responding to fires, medical crises, and the everyday struggles of working New Yorkers. He is running to bring frontline experience and working-class values to Albany, with a focus on healthcare, human dignity and quality of life, and housing.
