Williams gets endorsements from NYC Council, NYS Assembly members

Illapa Sairitupac is the proud son of immigrants from Perú and a community organizer on the Lower East Side (LES). He’s a local tenant organizer and helps renters build tenant associations, pressure landlords into delivering the repairs they need, and activate people into the housing movement. He’s also an organizer with the This Land is Ours Community Land Trust (CLT), where he fights for CLTs in Lower Manhattan. He received an MSW from NYU, was previously a mental healthcare worker and ran for NYS Assembly for District 65 in 2022. He has lived in the LES for 14 years.
