(Incumbent)

Candidate Site

Assembly Member Jo Anne Simon has dedicated her life to fighting for equal rights. Assembly Member Simon opened a disability rights law firm in Brooklyn and won a landmark case improving disability rights across the nation. As a community leader, she has fought for street safety, environmental protections, and affordable housing. As assembly member, Simon has passed bills on gun violence prevention, gender equity and education reforms. Assembly Member Simon helped secure equal pay for equal work, paid family leave and codified Roe v. Wade into NYS law. She fought for relief for renters, homeowners and small businesses.
