Pia Rahman is a lifelong New Yorker and proud Bronx native, born in Parkchester to Bangladeshi immigrant parents. She’s lived across nearly every borough, and New York will always be her home. During the pandemic, she worked as a dietetic intern in a COVID-only hospital, an experience that led her to organizing through Team AOC Food Pantry and political campaigns. Today, she serves on Community Board 2. Pia is running to fight for equitable health care, housing, education, and fair wages, guided by values of equity, accountability, and solidarity.
