Assembly Member Alicia L. Hyndman has been a fighter for issues facing District 29 such as housing, education, and transportation. She has been insistent on community inclusion on the redevelopment of JFK airport. Also she’s been a staunch advocate on improving public education for children in southeast Queens for pre-K through 12th grade. Her recent project on making sure schools engage in more civic education culminated with a bus trip to Albany this year. When it comes to groundwater flooding, she has stayed on this issue and worked hard to make sure infrastructure improvements are ongoing to address needed upgrades.
