Former Assembly Member Judy Griffin served the 21st District from 2019-2022, where she was a fierce advocate for Long Island families. As a moderate voice in Albany’s Democratic majority, Judy had a proven record of delivering for her district, including over $8 million in critical funding for schools, police, and fire departments. She passed common sense gun legislation, protected women’s rights, and universal pre-K in suburban schools. In 2022, she was narrowly defeated by only 138 votes (49.9% to 50.1%). This year, she faces a competitive race against the same incumbent opponent she knocked out in her inaugural 2018 run.
