Dr. Ellen Lederer DeFrancesco is an educator and environmental advocate committed to community engagement. Her public service journey began at The George Washington University, where she earned her degrees before teaching ESL in NYC. Ellen has dedicated her career to inclusivity and education. As the editor of a family-friendly newsletter and a leader in various volunteer roles, she’s focused on enhancing community life and promoting sustainability. She is a common-sense Democrat who prioritizes people over politics, advocating for collaborative solutions. Ellen lives in Oceanside with her Air Force Veteran husband, their two daughters, and two rescue dogs.
