Nantasha M Williams (D)

(Incumbent)

Candidate Site

Dr. Nantasha Williams represents Council District 27 in Southeast Queens, prioritizing economic opportunities, youth development, housing, and senior care. Raised by a single mother, she founded the NYC Black Women’s Political Club and helped organize the Women’s March on Washington. As chair of the Civil and Human Rights Committee, she passed anti-racism training legislation. Nantasha spearheaded the Jamaica Neighborhood Plan for affordable housing and secured key district investments. Holding a Ph.D. in social welfare, she is dedicated to social justice, public policy, and racial equity, using her activism and expertise to advocate for marginalized communities and systemic change.
