Shirley Aldebol is a labor leader, mom, and public school parent, who was born and raised in the Bronx by first-generation Puerto Rican parents. She’s spent her career fighting and delivering for working families. As executive vice president for 32BJ SEIU, Shirley won fair contracts and higher wages for custodial workers in our public schools and Bronx residential workers, and successfully negotiated the first collective bargaining agreement for service workers at NY and NJ airports. Shirley is running for the City Council to fight for affordable housing, fully funded public services, good-paying jobs, and a more liveable New York.
