Levine silent, but still leads big in Manhattan borough president fund-raising race

Mark Levine has spent nearly 25 years advocating for affordable, equitable communities. He’s a former teacher in the South Bronx and founded the Neighborhood Trust Federal Credit Union, loaning over $100 million to local businesses. As a City Council member, he passed landmark tenant protections and helped lead the city through COVID-19. As Manhattan Borough President since 2022, he’s led the fight to end the affordable housing crisis, delivered small business loans, and improved mental health services. Mark lives in Upper Manhattan with his wife and two children. He speaks fluent Spanish and Hebrew and is learning Greek and French.
