Born and raised in the Bronx, Rafael Salamanca Jr. has spent his career improving his community. From health care to Bronx Community Board 2 and the City Council, he’s worked to build affordable housing, create jobs, and enhance public safety. As chair of the Land Use Committee, he led efforts to secure over $400 million for schools, infrastructure, and economic growth. Now running for Borough President, Rafael is committed to ensuring every family has access to safe housing, quality education, and better opportunities, continuing his lifelong mission to uplift the Bronx.
