State Sen. Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. will host a Prescription Drug Take Back Event on Thursday, April 16, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy, where Middle Village residents can learn how to safely dispose of unwanted prescription drugs through a series of interactive demonstrations, presentations and conversations.
In partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Juniper Park Civic Association, the event aims to teach attendees about “why it is harmful to flush drugs or throw them in the trash, the dangers of ingesting expired drugs or taking other people’s prescription drugs,” according to a press release.
