Hach qualifies for GOP primary to face LiPetri in run for Suozzi seat

Gregory Hach, a lawyer and Air Force veteran from Oyster Bay, has filed more than 4,100 signatures to qualify for the June 23 Republican primary in New York’s Third Congressional District, setting up a contested race for the chance to challenge Democratic incumbent Rep. Tom Suozzi in November.

“I am humbled and grateful for this amazing show of support,” Hach said in a press release. “These 4,197 signatures aren’t just names on paper; they’re the voices of Queens and Long Island families who believe, as I do, that this district deserves a representative willing to fight for them without apology. Every signature is a covenant between candidate and voter, and I do not take that lightly.”
