Assemblymember Andrew Hevesi is accusing Jonathan Rinaldi, his challenger in June’s Democratic primary, of electoral chicanery after learning that someone changed his party affiliation in the midst of his re-election campaign.
Hevesi filed a criminal complaint with the Queens District Attorney’s office against Rinaldi on Tuesday, April 6, for what appears to be acts of fraud and forgery in an illegal effort to steal an election and Hevesi’s Assembly seat for himself, charges that Rinaldi vehemently denies.
