VillageCare‘s Board of Directors has appointed Shaun Ruskin as the new president and CEO of VillageCare and VillageCareMAX Managed Care Health Plans, the organization announced.
The appointment marks VillageCare’s first new CEO since 2009, when longtime chief executive Emma DeVito took the helm. Ruskin had been serving as chief operating officer and, most recently, as acting president and CEO following DeVito’s retirement. His elevation to the permanent role caps a tenure at VillageCare that began in 2010, and had included a brief departure before his return to help shape the organization’s direction.
