Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County to commemorate the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising

A sculpture commemorating the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising will be unveiled on Sunday, April 19, at the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County in Glen Cove.

The ceremony, scheduled for 2 p.m., will mark the installation of “Monument to the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising,” a 1976 work by Polish-born artist and Holocaust survivor Natan Rapoport. The piece will become a permanent addition to the center’s grounds.
